During most of our trip we were days of hard walking or paddling from other people, and all we had was what we brought with us. We relied on our gear. Some of it sailed through our trip with harldy a scratch, and some let us down. In this section of the website, we'd like to shout out the awesome gear that made the trip work, and call attention to the problems with gear that couldn't pass the "Alaska test".
